Privacy Policy

Cait's Crew is Caitlyn Smith's official fan membership platform, operated by Caitland Productions, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

        Short version: We collect what's necessary to run your
        membership — your name, email, and billing address. Your payment details
        go directly to Stripe and never touch our servers. We don't sell your
        information. Ever.
      

1. Information We Collect

When you join Cait's Crew:

Name and email address
Billing address
Membership tier and billing preference (monthly or annual)
Account password (stored as a secure hash — we never see the plaintext)

Payment information:

Credit card details are handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We receive a payment confirmation and the last four digits of your card for display purposes. Your full card number, CVV, and expiration date are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

When you use the platform:

Content you post in community areas (messages, comments)
Videos, photos, and other media you upload to your profile
Activity data used to personalize your experience

Automatically collected:

Basic usage data (pages visited, features used) via Google Analytics
Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, referring URL)
Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Section 5)

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your membership account
To process payments and send receipts
To deliver member content, emails, and updates from Caitlyn
To respond to your questions and support requests
To improve the platform based on how members use it
To send you emails you've opted in to receive (you can opt out anytime)

We will not use your information for any purpose materially different from what is described here without asking you first.

3. Who We Share Information With

We work with a small number of trusted service providers:

Stripe — payment processing. Privacy Policy
Google Firebase — database and file storage. Privacy Policy
MailerLite — email communications. Privacy Policy
Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics. Privacy Policy

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.

4. Data Retention

We keep your account data for as long as your membership is active, plus a reasonable period afterward for accounting and legal purposes (typically 7 years for financial records, per US requirements). If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in and to understand how members use the platform. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect anonymous usage data. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some functionality (including staying logged in).

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Correct — update or correct inaccurate information via your profile settings
Delete — request deletion of your account and personal data
Opt out — unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email
Portability — request your data in a portable format

California residents (CCPA): You have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, including the right to know what categories of personal information we collect and the right to opt out of any sale of your data (we don't sell data, but you have this right regardless).

7. Security

We use industry-standard security practices: HTTPS for all data in transit, Firebase's security rules for data at rest, and Stripe's PCI-compliant infrastructure for payment processing. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Children's Privacy

Cait's Crew is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify active members by email before the changes take effect. The "Effective" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
